Get VERY Ahead Of The Holiday Game This Summer

For most of us the count down to our Summer break has well and truly begun and the combined scent of sun lotion mixed with Pina Colada and shame is already calling our names. For me and I am sure this is the case for most people I think the prep & shopping for our holiday capsule wardrobe is one of the most thrilling parts of going away. We envision ourselves strutting down the cobbled streets of Santorini with a cocktail in hand and the wind blowing in our sea salt tousled hair.....bliss.

I am constantly looking online and to the high street for Summer fashion inspo and I have to say I have been left feeling a little uninspired with the Spring collections I have seen in recent months. Thank God the same can't be said for the Summer collections and some brands have been hitting the ball well and truly out of the park.

I was recently invited to Liverpool by  Very  to check out their Summer & Holiday collections and I was beyond excited. They also provided us with little pink bags containing some holiday essentials which was super kind of them.

To be honest guys....they had me at cupcakes! these gorgeous little things tasted just as good as they looked and really got me into the holiday spirit whilst I perused the collections. They decorated the room beautifully and there was a real buzz of excitement..... I think it was amplified by the selfie wall.

After mingling a little I took some time to have a good look around and see all of the new products to have hit the site. They even showcased some lovely garden furniture which is perfect if you are planning a little staycation.

The thing I love about  Very and something I didn't realise before being invited to Very HQ was just how many brands they have all under one roof, most mainstream brands are on board and you can shop for a fantastic mixture of fashion, beauty, electrical and homeware.

But for me today was all about the fashion and getting myself Summer ready and their collections did not disappoint. The room was a rainbow of colours and I was seriously in textile heaven from pleats to embroidery and a game changing amount of sequins, there was something for just about everyone and their mum, budget and taste.

One thing I do struggle to find on the high street is a good swimming costume that everyone else doesn't already own. I find the selections in most stores quite limited so everyone seems to have the same thing and it's frustrating but Very has it well and truly covered with multiple brands and styles to choose from.... the above just shows a few but there are literally SO many online to suit a variety of body shapes and style preferences.

This gorgeous little number caught my eye straight away and combines my two favourite colours, not to mention it is so blogger appropriate it kills me. Palm leaves or the leaf trend in general is absolutely massive right now and I am loving this transition into fashion. It also has a very sexy Bond Girl appeal to it with the cut out detail for your curves to peep through.

I also fell in love with this Tommy bag, I adored the raised texture and think its a great little bag for a beach or city getaway. You can comfortably fit all the major essentials, a mirror, phone, lipstick, camera and SPF..... oh and the all important room key for when you are all danced out, staggering home draped over your bestie whilst singing your best rendition of You've Got The Love......ah memories.

And lets not forget our little cherubs, for me shopping for my two little ones is just as exciting as shopping for myself. Very houses a number of brands that we all love including one of my personal favourites Monsoon. Monsoon are known for their bright and bold colours along with a free and boho chic design...perfect for a sandy-toed trip to the beach.

The children's collections had me very excited to dress my little girl in particular and I kept wishing they had many of the pieces in adult sizes. Very also stock Mini which is the child range from River Island, I have actually had clothing from Mini before and I love the quality and and performance.  I much prefer the River Island kids range to the adult collections as they are just so fun and colourful.

All in all it was a great day and I got the chance to meet some other bloggers and two lovely girls in particular. I think having so many creators in the same space makes it virtually impossible not to have a mini photoshoot outside the venue, so here are a few snaps from that!

Hope this post has been a fun read and encouraged you guys to check Very out, especially if you are looking for holiday closet inspiration, if you want to check them out you can do so below.

Happy shopping and enjoy your down time whether your 'staycationing' or jetting off somewhere fun!

Big love
